What is the cheapest way to get from Prague to Budapest, train, plane or bus? I have read that it is cheaper to purchase train tickets in Prague than online through raileurope. Any thoughts on this?

I haven't done it but I have talked to lots of travelers who have, and they all said the bus is the way to go. They are cheaper, sometimes faster, play english movies and serve coffee and tea. Depending on when you want to go, you could just purchase it ta few days before you leave while you are in Europe. I have been travelling all this May and trains have not been full. But that is a chance you would take and you would have to be flexible in your schedule.
