I want to know the procedure for getting from the Pisa airport to Florence by train (or bus). Coming in on EasyJet flight. Thank you
Quick check of Deutsche Bahn schedule shows 3 trains/hour from Pisa Airport to Florence with a direct train every other hour.
You walk down to the end of the terminal and get on a train to the Pisa train station. There you'll transfer to another train going to Florence. The ride's just over an hour. It's easy and quick. I had to stop at the bank ATM to get some Euros first.
Terravision offers a shuttle bus from Pisa airport to Florence city center for only 4.99 euro (I think roundtrip is 8 euro). You can pre-purchase the tickets on the Terravision website. I believe it is about a 70 minute ride, and the stop is close the SMN Station in Florence.
Hope that helps!
Some trains depart from inside the Pisa Airport and require no change at Pisa Centrale, they go all the way to Florence. The Pisa Airport-Florence trains depart every 2 hours starting at approx. 7am. The exact departure times are available using Trenitalia.com. Just enter Pisa Aeroporto as origin and Firenze Santa Maria Novella as destination.
