Transportation from Paris CDG Marriott to Eiffel Tower.

Hi. My daughter and I have one day in Paris before we fly back to the US. We get into CDG at 9:40 am. Our hotel is the Marriott at the airport. We wanted to go to the Eiffel Tower, and maybe do some shopping.
What is the best transportation to and from the Eiffel Tower from our hotel? All options. Thanks!!

Get the RER Line B from the airport to St Michel Notre Dame, then change to an RER Line C train to Champ de Mars Tour Eiffel. What sort of shopping do you mean and what's your budget?

A single ticket between CDG and anywhere in central Paris costs €9.50. It will give you unlimited transfers on the RER and Metro until you exit the system. So at a minimum you will spend €9.50 to get from CDG to Champ de Mars-Tour Eiffel and another €9.50 to get from any Metro or RER station back to CDG. CDG is in zone 5. If you buy one-day, zone 1-5 Paris Visite passes at CDG, they will get you from CDG to Paris and back to CDG and cover any other rides you take on the Metro, RER, or bus while you're in Paris. The pass costs €22.20. A single ticket for rides within Paris costs €1.70. It is good anywhere the Metro goes (some lines end in zone 3) and on the RER in zone 1 (all of central Paris). It provides unlimited transfers until you exit the system. A single ticket provides bus transfers up to 90 minutes after boarding the first bus. However, you cannot transfer between Metro/RER and bus on one ticket. The RER B line divides northeast of Paris. When you return to CDG, be sure to get on a train that is going there. Tena, if you want shopping, check out the Madeleine metro stop. The best in Chocolate, truffles, mustard (mustard on tap) and other nice shops are all with 3-4 blocks of each other.

Unless your flight departs CDG at some insanely early hour why not just spend your one and only night in the middle of it all and near to the Eiffel Tower. Rue Cler in the 7th Arrondissement seems to be a favorite of RS followers. Much much much more enjoyable than being at the dull airport hotel.

One day in Paris :-) Have your hotel arrange a shuttle or taxi to the Eiffel.
Rue Cler is nearby, so is Invalidees military museum, or a boat ride on the Seine Then walk along the Seine to catch the RER back to the airport or just take a taxi and stay late in Paris! Order Eiffel tickets online exactly 90 days in advance. Enjoy Paris!
