My mother and mother-in-law will be travelling to Milan and arriving at MXP. I'm looking for the best way to get them to the Hilton Milan (located near the Train Station) without breaking the bank. They are both in their 60's and not physically impaired. Thanks in advance!
Take the train to the Central Station and walk to the hotel. About two blocks to your right when you exit the train station. And you can take a bus to the station. Either way is pretty cheap.
Thanks, Frank. Is "Tutte Le Stazioni" the correct stop?
That just means All Stations. The end of the line Centrale or Central Train station. In fact, it dead ends there.
Suzan, I'm assuming your relatives are arriving at MXP Terminal 1? As an alternative, they could also use the Malpensa Shuttle (Coach) from the airport to Milano Centrale. The fare is €7.50 as I recall, and the trip is about 50-60 minutes, depending on traffic. One point to note regarding train travel from MXP. Both "regular" trains are offered as well as the Malpensa Express which travels to Milano Cadorna station. Be sure they don't go to Cadorna, as it's some distance from the central station (although it's relatively easy to travel between the two stations by Metro). Cheers!
