Need a source of good, inexpensive transportation from Gatwick Airport to the cruise port in Dover for a family of four. Any advice?

The cheapest way is by coach, but the trip will take from 4 1/2 to 4 1/2 hours with a stopover in London from 40 to 70 minutes.
Your best way is to take the train. It's a 2 1/2 hour trip with one change in Tonbridge. Use the Journey Planner here for timetables and fares. Enter Dover Priory as your destination.
