Are there cabs usually waiting for the off loading of the big cruise ships? How much would they cost to central Rome?
Arranging for a shuttle or car seems confusing. The price of the van seems to be set and what you pay depends on whether it is filled. Do you divide the total van price by the number of passengers? If you order a van holding 8, do you just sit and wait until 8 passengers are loaded?
I know there is a train connection to Termini but would rather be driven to my hotel.

Use the search box, this question frequently asked and answered. We have made that trip four times. In summary, a taxi will run 100E to 125E. Cars and shuttle are prearranged at a fixed price. See prior posts for recommendations for companies. There are no open or public vans or shuttles. The train connection is 6 to 10E and is very easy to do.
