What is the best way to get from a cruise ship at the port of Civitavecchia (Rome) to the airport (Fiumicino), other than using the cruise line transportation? How long does it take?

Define best !!!! The easiest would be taxi from the port to the airport. About an hour and 50 to 60 Euro or maybe a little more. Plenty of taxis will be available at the port entrance. The cheapest will be a train to Rome and the Leonard Express to the airport. Allow three to four hours from the time you leave the ship.
