Rick recommends taking the Roissy bus to the opera and then take the Metro....has anyone taken the RER train and does it stop at pont de Alma which is very close to our apartment.
Yes, change from the B RER to the C at "St. Michel Notre Dame." and go three steps west to a station right at the "Pont d L'Alma."
I'm in my 60s & found the RER very tiring. There was lots of walking & stair climbing. The Roissy bus was much easier on me. I had the same amount of luggage both times.
I'm not in my 60's, but after a long trip to Paris I just get a cab. If you have more than one person and more than one bag, it compares not badly with the train.
