Transportation from CDG to Latin quarter

I will be in Paris on the 13th of June around 14:00. What is the best transportation to use to get to the Monge Place? How much time do i need to get there? Where do i buy bus/metro tickets? Thank you very much! This is first time visiting Paris..!

Take the RER B to the Chatelet-Les Halles RER station. Walk through the connecting tunnels to the Chatelet Metro station. Take Metro line 7 to the Place Monge station. The fare is €8.40 and includes transfers. Keep your ticket until you exit the system. The trip will take a little under an hour.

For a zoomable map of the RER and Metro system, go here. There are two RER stations at CDG. Buy your ticket at whichever one is closer to your arrival terminal. For detailed information on this, including photos, go to the Paris by Train site.

Melina, just to let you know, this is the exact area we stayed in last year, actually on Rue Quatrefages near the Paris Mosque. Great area and you are about a 15 minute walk from Notre Dame and just a little bit further to the Louvre etc.
Lots of restaurants and cafes in the area plus grocery stores, bakeries.
We actually took a taxi from the airport and it was 43 euros both times. Not to bad really as we had a couple of suitcases and were tired from the flight.
Metro station is very handy to everything and there is a market on the Friday morning in the same square as the metro. Fresh butter, breads, meats plus linens and dinnerware, great little market
Enjoy
