Can anyone tell me about the transportation available from Amsterdam to Rotterdam, where we will join our cruise, with luggage. We usually taxi, but Rotterdam is about an hr. away, so I thought it would be very expensive. I can't always log onto Rick, so please also reply to: supersecdd@aol.com

It would be easiest to take the train from Amsterdam to Rotterdam Centraal and catch a taxi from there- I'm not sure exactly where cruise ships dock because the port in Rotterdam is massive. Road traffic in that part of the Netherlands is always awful. I doubt you could reach Rotterdam in an hour.

My first guess would be Holland Am since they are headquartered there. Obviously the train from Amsterdam and then either a taxi or the tram as the tram stops right at Holland American.
