Can anyone point me to a website that covers public transportation in Inverness? I'm planning to a rental car there and then catch an evening train back to Edinburgh. I'm experiencing trouble finding information on getting from the car hire companies (possibly at the airport) and the Inverness rail station.

Och, aye, laddie! Here's a link to Stagecoach bus lines, which runs much of the bus service in the Highlands. Check the number 11 route under "service no." for the airport run, and you'll find that they all begin/end (except for the first early-morning run) at Strother's Lane...which happens to be right next to the train station!
