I have a tight schedule and need to get from Krakow to Budapest. Which would be the better option keeping cost in mind, plane or night train? If I choose the train do I have to change trains anywhere in between? Thank You

The best timetables for virtually all of Europe are on the German Rail site. There is a direct night train that departs Krakow Glowny at 21:54 and arrives at Budapest-Keleti pu at 08:35. It makes 14 stops along the way. If you don't sleep well on trains, this might not be a good choice. Go to this page on the Polish Rail site and write for a fare quote. According to the search engine www.skyscanner.com, there are no direct flights between Krakow and Budapest. Both the cheapest and fastest route I found was Krakow-Warsaw-Budapest on LOT Polish Airlines.
