We do not want to rent a car but wish to have info on bus from Split to Plitvice Lakes and from Plitvice to Pula. All info seems to be from Zagreb. We do not want to rent a car...but bus info from Split and to Pula is hard to come by

From Split to Plitvice you might want to have a look at this site: http://www.ak-split.hr/ I chose a random date and there were two buses in the morning, two in the evening. I have not taken this bus route, so I have no idea where in Plitvice it drops you off. However, I just Googled "Plitvice Bus Station" and some information popped up that you might find useful. Great site! Thanks! Now to figure how to get from Plitvice Lakes to Pula...without going to Zagreb???

I think that gets a little stickier, as there are no direct buses to Pula. Check out this site: http://www.autobusni-kolodvor.com/ Mercifully, there is an English option. For Plitvice, you'll use Plitvicka Jezera (and there is a little symbol over the 'c') and it'll show you routing between Plitvice and Pula. The buses don't appear to be timed so you hop off one and onto the other, so there may be a long layover involved. It's gonna be a long day... and might be time to re-think not renting a car. :)
