There is no airport in Sorrento. You have two options: 1. Take a high-speed Trenitalia train from Florence to Naples. The trip takes 3 hours and the standard 2nd class fare is €68.00. However, if you book well in advance (up to 120 days allowed) on trenitalia.com, you can get a Super Economy fare as low as €29.00. In Naples go to the lower level of the Napoli Centrale station and take a Circumvesuviana commuter train to Sorrento. Trains run at least twice/hour, the trip takes just over one hour, and the fare is less than €5.00. 2. Take the train to Naples as above. If the weather is nice, you could take a hydrofoil from Naples to Sorrento. The trip takes 30 minutes.
