What is the best way to get from monterossa al mare to Venice?

I would take the IC train that goes North along the coast to Genoa and on to Milan. It leaves Monterosso mid- morning. Mat Milan you change for a fast train to Venice. I'll bet Ken or someone else can give the exact details and other options.

Thank you. That's what I thought by looking at the train map. If anyone else other suggestions, I welcome them.

The trip described by Sasha is one of three ways by train to get to Venezia Santa Lucia from the CT. Your routing is CT/Genoa/Milan/Venice with the last of the 2-3 trains being a high-speed. Very nice run. The fastest way is via La Spezia Centrale/Florence and high-speed to Venice. The third way is a bit slower and goes via Parma and Bologna before getting on a high-speed to Venice.
