Transportaion to three major cities

My husband and I are traveling to Europe for our honeymoon on August 6. We are flying into London and want to travel to Amsterdam, Paris, and back to London. We plan on staying two days in Amsterdam, three in Paris and four in London. What would be our best way of transportation to each of these cities without spending a ton of money? My biggest question is what tranportation do I take from London to Amsterdam and then to Paris. Thanks to anyone who can help!!

If you're flying straight on to Amsterdam from London upon your arrival, consider BMI (the old British Midland airlines), which flies Heathrow (likely where you're arriving) to Amsterdam. Eight flights a day, as low as 40 pounds ($81) and no need to change airports. Check http://flybmi.com. Great airline, offers good service. British Airways also offers eight a day Heathrow-Amsterdam for as low as 45 pounds ($91). http://ba.com

Easyjet from London to Amsterdam, train Amsterdam to London and then the chunnel I should think.

The best option would have been an open jaws flight into Amsterdam with a return from London, but it sounds like you no longer have that option.

Second best option, I think, is to see London first, then fly to Amsterdam and come back through the Chunnel.

The one thing you don't want to do is to arrive in London and go immediately to Amsterdam, because of the risk of a delayed arrival in London. The cheapo airlines like EasyJet will not honor a ticket if miss your flight, for any reason. Note also, that if you arrive at Heathrow, getting to one of the airports served by a cheapo is a time consuming, expensive trip.

If you're arriving at Heathrow and going straight on to Amsterdam, Norm's suggestion of flying BMI is an excellent one. Even at this late date the fares are still good. I'd allow three hours between your scheduled arrival and your scheduled departure. If you arrive late, you'll be glad for the extra margin.

The best way to travel from Amsterdam to Paris is on a high-speed Thalys train. Buy your tickets when you get to Amsterdam. If price is more important than comfort, take a Eurolines coach (bus).

The Eurostar is the best way to travel between Paris and London. Book ASAP at eurostar.com. If you're willing to play around a bit, you might find a surprisingly low fare. Go to the site, sign in as a resident of the US, and check the fares. Clear all the cookies from your Internet browser and register again as a resident of the UK and see what fares you find. Do it one more time, registering as a resident of France. The cheapest way is Eurolines, either by day or overnight.
