I have searched the internet and can find a lot of information about transportation from the airport or central Venice to the cruise ship port but can not find transportation information from the Venezia S.L. train station to the port. I am trying to find the most cost effective way to get there but have a limited time frame of 1.5 hours max.
Nancy, When you exit the train station turn right and walk over the bridge. Go to the big square (Piazalle Roma). At the far end of P. Roma is a white building that has the "people mover" that cost 1 Euro (last year) each. Get off at the first stop, walk a short distance to the port entrance. If you have luggage to off with the cruise line, look carefully. Easy to miss the off point. Go to bing.com, go to the map feature, use the aerial and / or birds eye view. That will give you an excellent "lay of the land". Very short, very quick, very easy. You might also want to check veniceforvisitors.com. Hope this helps. TC
