What is the best way to travel from Venice Marco Polo Airport to Porto Levante? Is it possible to go by boat?

We rented a houseboat "Crown Blue" the end of Sept from Porto Levante area. We took the trains to make the connection, but we were coming from CT region. It was a local train for the final leg of our journey. We then took a cab from the train station to the boat rental. The nearest train station is Rosolina which is 6km away. If you go to the Trenitalia web site it will give you regional train connections from Venice Mestre to Rosolina.

Thank you very much for your help, we are doing the same trip. Was it difficult to get the shopping done for the boat? Are there suitable resaurants near the canals?
