Susan, The easiest and quickest method to get from the Czech Republic to Germany is to take the direct Bus that operates between Prague and Munich. You can view the times and other details on the bahn.de website. You could also travel by train, however the Bus will be easier. If you want to get an early start, there's a direct Bus departing Praha hl.n. (Autobusová St. Wilsonova) at 07:10, arriving München Hauptbahnhof Nord at 12:09 (time 4H:59M, current Saver Fare of €29 listed). You can check other trips on the website to find the one that works best for you. Be sure to familiarize yourself with the location of the two stations you'll be using, so that you'll have details on how to get to and from your hotels in each city. Happy travels!

Saver fares require advance purchase (3-92 days), are bus (time and date) specific, and have limited refundability. The ticket prices are tiered, starting with some at 29€ and going up as the lower priced tickets sell out. The train takes about 1½ hour longer, but you can get to Munich with a Czech Rail ticket purchased in Prague (for about the equivalent of 10€) and a Bayern-Ticket (22€ for 1 person), which can be purchased from Bahn.de. The Bayern-ticket can be used on any regional trains that day. The train would be less affected by the weather. If there are two of you traveling, the train will be the less expensive option.
