Transport from airport in Paris to hotel

There are 4 of us traveling, and we will arrive at CDG Airport. Our hotel is located on Rue Viala in the15th. We will each have one suitcase and one small carryon. I am not sure what is the easiest (and yet cost effective) way to get to our hotel NEVER been to Paris before. Thanks in advance for any help.

Easiest: Door-to-door service by taxi for around €50 (more if traffic is heavy). Most cost effective: Take the RER B to Denfert-Rochereau, transfer to metro line 6, and take it to Dupleix. A ticket costs €9.10. Walk to your hotel. For a zoomable map of the RER and metro system, go here: http://tinyurl.com/6xmvms4. We picked up the Roissy bus at the airport. 10E per person. It takes you to the Opera and then we took a taxi from there. We were staying in the 7th and it was about $10-$15 fare. Very easy.

'but I always take the RER and transfer to the Metro' Blanket advice is really confusing. Sometimes there's not even a need to transfer, other times the transfer is to another rer line. Still, other times you could transfer to either, but the hike from one rer platform to another is quicker than a hike from the rer side to the metro side of a station.

Hello. We stayed in Paris in 2009 and 2010. Both times we stayed at the Hotel Le Littre (6th arron.) The hotel booked our taxi both to and from the hotel. It worked out perfectly. The hotel told us the fee before hand. Then the hotel called their particular taxi service. We liked that it was arranged in advance. The personal driver met us at our plane and at the Euorstar. Then we had an individual driver for the return trips also. Elaine
