There is a direct train from the airport to Amsterdam Centraal. There are 4-6 trains each hour and it takes about 20 minutes. Cost is €3.80.

You can find out more about the Netherlands' trains/buses/trams at www.ns.nl. They are very easy to use and will get you almost anywhere in the Netherlands.
