transporation in milan

I was reading your tour book and got a bit confused. You can by a 48 hour ticket for the bus/metro to get around Milan for 8.25 euros. Does this include the bus services from Milan airport to the central train station? It appears that they are different buses and you pay an additional 10 euros. Am I correct or can you use the 48 hour pass? thank you Becky K.

The bus or train in from the airport is separate. 10E is about right as I remember.

Becky, I assume you're referring to the www.milanocard.it/ AFAIK, tickets or passes for transportation within Milan do not include the Malpensa Shuttle that travels from the airport to Milano Centrale, as the services are operated by different companies. You'll likely have to pay the €10 for the Malpensa Shuttle. If you're landing at MXP Terminal 1, you can also travel via the Malpensa Express (train) directly to Milano Centrale.
