Hi, can someone tell me what is the best way to get from the Venice airport to a hotel in St. Marks

There are various ways, but I recommend a water taxi. It's the fastest with the least amount of hassle. But it is expensive. You could try to find someone at the dock who would like to share the taxi.

To me best is cheapest. Bus to Piazzale Roma, then vaporetto to St Marks. 12 euro per person with a combi-ticket. If you plan on getting a transport pass (I would) you can bundle the airport bus into your pass. http://www.actv.it/en/movinginvenice/prices
