Has anyone used Paris-Shuttle.com to transfer from CDG to their Paris hotel and back? Are they reliable??? How do they compare to the Air France Shuttle?
Joel, As pat mentioned, using the RER and Metro is probably the cheapest option, but won't be the most pleasant option after a long international flight (although I've found that it's not really too bad). If you're travelling solo, a shared Shuttle can also be fairly cost effective, and will take you very close to your hotel. I used a Shuttle from Paris to CDG a few weeks ago, and as I recall it was about €28 (but I'd have to check my records to confirm that). Happy travels!
Is there an Air France shuttle? There is an Air France "shuttle bus" that goes to a couple different spots in Paris, but that is different from a shuttle van service which takes you to the door.
Joel shared shuttles are not considered very cost effective for parties of more then three ( at 15-17 euros each ,, a taxi is about 45-55 euros )
Plus many of the shared shuttles want you to prepay and trust me its impossible to get a refund if they can't find you ( which seems to be a recurring thing) or they are late.. and ask you to wait and wait, and the ride into PAris can take forever as they are dropping off other people too. Seriously , your two best options.. Cheapest,, take RER - 9.5 euros Easiest , take taxi from official taxi stand 45-55 euros depending on traffic , luggage , amount of people.. can vary, but taxis are properly metered and extra fees like 1 euro per suitcase are legal. There is an Air France bus , I have not taken it, but from what I understand if your hotel in near or on route its not a bad deal. Where is your hotel and are you travelling alone?
I believe the Air France Shuttle bus stops at Paris Montparnasse. My Hotel is several blocks from there. My understanding is the cost for the two of us will be 55 Euros for a round trip. I do not know if I should walk or take a taxi from the Montparnasse to the hotel. Does any one have information on Paris-Shuttle.com reliability?
