Transferring to TGV station at CDG

How much time cushion should I allow to transfer to the TGV station from our AA flight which lands at the same terminal at CDG? Our flight arrives 9:40am on a Friday morning. Thanks.

After you clear customs, immigration, etc, and get out into the arrivals hall, you can be in the tgv station from anywhere in T2 in ten minutes. If you're going to use this tidbit to hive out if you can make a deadline somewhere in town, you'd best fess up to the whole issue immediately.

No, Ed, I'm not trying to pop off into a quick visit of Paris. I'm trying to figure the earliest train I can make. I know I will have to get my luggage and do the customs & passport thing. Do you think 2 hours is good to get that accomplished, make it to the station and find my train?

Yep. Assuming the train leaves from the airport and you don't have to get to a station in town. One hour from stepping off the plane could be a bit tight, two is plenty.

Jean, I have to agree with Ed here - if all you have is an hour, you'll be pushing things. Two hours should be plenty of time.

I've done it with a checked bag in less than an hour, but best to play it safe. If you pack light and carry your bag, though, I'll bet you can make it in an hour.

... unless your flight is late ... ... or somebody in the chain is on strike (This is France) (in the days of austerity budgets and pension cutbacks) ...
