Transfer time at Logan Airport Boston

Seeking input on your experience in Boston. We would be flying into Boston and Jet Blue’s connection time is only an hour and a half to international flight to CDG which is below my comfort level. The entire flight is on Jet Blue. Any advice?

I recently connected from an international flight from Rome arriving at the E terminal to a Delta domestic flight departing from terminal A, which meant walking across the airport on a skybridge and then going back through security in Terminal A - took about an hour, and that included retrieving checked baggage.

Are you arriving on a Jet Blue international flight, and does it arrive at the international E terminal? You can walk from E to Terminal C airside, so shouldn't need to clear security again after immigration - but you may need to retrieve your checked baggage for customs - you should hopefully be able to do that airside as well.

If you're connecting from a domestic flight to an international flight, both arrival and departure should be in terminal C.

So you should be OK - what does Jet Blue have to say on their website?

In October I flew from Lisbon to Boston and then from Boston to Austin, all on Delta.

I was very nervous about a 2 hour and 15 minute layover but I made it with an hour to spare.

I had to go through customs, get my luggage and have it transferred, go from an international terminal to the domestic terminal, go through domestic security and still got to my gate with one hour to spare.

Plus my luggage got torn up by Delta and had to be patched up before I could fly again. I had other problems trying to go through security to fly out of Boston and as said, it all still only took me about one hour and 15 minutes total.

But be certain to buy insurance, just in case.

OK, everyone is telling you the connections coming back from Europe, but it’s not clear to me if you are going to Europe or returning

Going to Europe this is plenty of time because all those steps people are talking about you don’t have to go through. You don’t have to pick up luggage you don’t have to go back through immigration you don’t have to go through security, etc.

Coming back I would probably want more time

Of all the US airports, I dread coming back from a international flight through Boston! The trip from the arrival terminal to the domestic terminal is a nightmare.

Sorry for confusion. Flying into Boston to connect to international flight to Charles de Gaulle. So domestic to international. I worry less about coming home. It’s Jet Blue suggested itinerary so am assuming they think it’s doable. I just wanted to hear some real life experience.

Thank you all.

I live in Atlanta, and I use to willingly take a connection in Boston over flying direct into Atlanta. It’s not bad now that I have global entry, but pre-global entry Atlanta took my prize for the worst airport to come back to the United States. We go out of our way to make sure you know we don’t want you to come home.
