We are arriving at the Rome airport (FCO) and wish to find the most economical and convenient way to get to the port in Civitavecchia. Any suggestions?

Yep, we have lots! :-) Just use the search box in the upper right corner to do a search on Civitavecchia to get 30 or so posts that should help you out.

Take the Leonardo Express train from FCO to Rome Termini. Trains run twice/hour. The fare is 9.50€.
There is an average of three trains/hour from Rome Termini to Civitavecchia. Regional trains take about 1hr15min and the fare is 4.50€. ICplus trains take about 45min and the fare is 8.50€.
