Transfer from Bus Station to Train Station in Opatija, Croatia

Planning a quick jaunt through Slovenia and Istria next month, however I'm running into what may be a problem. I'm trying to transfer from Rovinj to Ljubljana through Opatija. I'm coming in on a bus and leaving on a train, with a 45 minute window. However I've read that the Opatija train station is actually above the town in the next village, Matulji. I'm really hoping I can get a cheap cab right from the bus station to take me to the train station. Is this plausible? Anyone else have experience with this?

"Opatija / Matulji train station Tel: +385 51 274 102 is located just outside Matulji, a village about 10 km uphill from Opatija. In the 19th century there was a tram connecting the train station with the center of Opatija. Nowdays, you can take a bus to Opatija (cca 15 minutes), but the train station is somewhat dislocated from the center of Matulji where the bus station is. It might be better to take a taxi or to go to Rijeka and then take bus no. 32 to Opatija. The bus station for bus no. 32 to Opatija is just accross the road from the train station." http://www.adriaday.com/en/opatija/travelguide/getting_there/travelling_by_train_to_Opatija.html
