What is the best way (not a taxi) to transfer from the Gare du Nord (Paris) to the Gare St.Lazare?
It's about a five-minute ride on RER E with another five-minute walk on each end.
Daniel, Could you clarify a few details? Prior to arrival at Gare du Nord, are you coming from the airport or from the EuroStar? If you're travelling from the airport via RER "B", I'd continue on that to Chatelet Les Halles, walk to Chatelet (it's not difficult) and then transfer to Metro Line 14 (direction Saint-Lazare), which will take you directly to St. Lazare. When you arrive at the Metro station there, you'll need to walk upstairs to the SNCF station. As I recall, there are lots of Escalators so it's not overly difficult. If you're travelling from the EuroStar, then the method suggested by Ed is probably the one I'd use. Cheers!
Hi, As suggested above there is the choice of the RER " E" and the Metro. If you prefer the bus from Gare du Nord to Gare St. Lazare, you can take bus #26 right outside of the station. Numerous buses stop there, it's opposite of the Terminous Nord Hotel. I took that bus route this summer.
