What's the best way to transfer between Orly and Charles de Gaulle airports? I have return flights with a 5 hour layover in between. I don't know if my luggage is automatically transferred or if I have to collect it and schlepp it myself. While I'm not wealthy, if I have to choose between cost and comfort, comfort's going to win!
Thanks.
The Les Cars/Air France Line 3 bus does the trick. 20 euro every 30-45 min. http://www.aeroportsdeparis.fr/ADP/en-GB/Passagers/Access-maps-car-parks/Paris-Orly/Access/public-transport/paris-orly-cars-air-france.htm#a3
I'd be willing to bet the luggage transfer is not automatic and you will have to take your bags with you. But check with your airline, maybe they will. If that were the case, you could stop into Paris on the way instead of waiting at the airport.
The easiest and most comfortable way is by coach, The Air France coach http://www.lescarsairfrance.com/en.html line 3 goes directly from Orly to Charles de Gaulle. You will have to collect your baggage and bring it on the coach, but the baggage goes in the hold of the coach and the driver will assist.
I seriously doubt that your luggage will be transferred. 1. Air France bus #3 runs non-stop between the airports. (Anyone can ride it.) The fare is €20.00 (€19.00 if booked online). These highway buses run every 30 minutes and your luggage goes in the bay. The ride takes about 1hr30min. 2. For more frequent and faster service take the Orlyval driverless shuttle train from the airport to the Antony RER station. Take the RER B from Antony to either CDG 1 or CDG 2 TGV. The combined fare is €20.30.
Thank you all so much!
