As Michael notes, the new high speed TGV lines running east from Paris opens for service on 10 June, and will result in big time savings from Paris to Zurich. It'll also be cutting time from Paris to destinations like Nancy, Metz, Luxembourg city, Rheims, Strasbourg, and Frankfurt (less than 4 hours Paris-Frankfurt!).
