It has been 20 yr.since we have been to Ireland. We always rented a carin the past. However, we are thinking of another trip and would like to use the train. Does anyone know if there is train transportation from Shannon airport to anywhere in Donegal? Would appreciate any help. Thanks.

Ed Thanks for the link. After looking at the train map, you are right - nothing much to Donegal. That is where my family is and they are happy to pick us up but we were trying to make things easier. Another option for us is to fly to Dublin, take train to visit friends in Northern Ireland and take the bus to Donegal. Thanks for the link though.
