We are taking a train from Milan to Amsterdam in April. We were wondering which route to take, how long to allow for this, and whether or not to take a sleeper. Also, the options are endless, where do we start?
Any suggestions would be helpful
I checked the German rail site: I found trains with 1, 2 or 5 changes, taking 11-1/2 to 13 hours then checked easyjet.com and found flights taking just over 2 hours which cost between 56-67 euro (plus of course all the necessary add-ons). Do you want to take the train for "fun" or is your time more valuable. Admittedly my first choice is the train rather than dealing with the hassles of airports and time arrivals but sometimes the hassles are worth the time saved. Just a thought!
thanks for your reply.
We want to take the train for fun, to see the countryside.
