Could someone please advise me how I get from Heathrow to St. Andrews. Can I get all the way to St. Andrews or do I go to Edinburgh ? Then what do I take ?

Booked well in advance, BMI has cheap flights from LHR to Edinburgh.
Train route: Take the Piccadilly line (London Underground) to King's Cross St Pancras (£4). It's a one-hour ride. Depending upon the time of day, you'll either take a National Express East Coast train all the way to Leuchars (the closest station to St. Andrews) or you'll take a National Express East Coast train to Edinburgh and change there to a First ScotRail train to Leuchars.
