Trains from Florence to Rome

I am going to be traveling by train from Florence to Rome and was wondering if italio was the best way to go. We are staying at a hotel very close to the Vatican. Should we arrive in Rome via the Tiburtina train station or the Ostiense train station. Thank you in advance for your help.

Either Italo or Trenitalia will work. Actually, Trentalia would be slightly better. 1) a 19 euro fare vs a 20 euro fare (Hey! its a whole euro!) Also, the subway to Vatican is a straight shot from Termini, from either Tiburtina or Ostiense, you have to change subway lines at....Termini.

The .Italo trains are very nice and I find their lounges - open to both first and second class passengers - comfortable and relaxing. The seats on .Italo are newer and in good shape. From Tiburtina the 492 bus just outside can take you to Vatican City by a somewhat round about route which can be a mini overview of Rome as you arrive. It starts at Tiburtina, just outside to the bus station, the last row of stops on the far left. Along the way to Vatican it passes Repubblica, Barberini, via del Corso, Piazza Venezia, Largo Argentina, is very near Campo dei Fiori, and goes along the outside of Piazza Navona, then very near Piazza del Popolo and Ara Pacis, then over the river through the Prati and right up to the Vatican, then along the walls near the Vatican Museums. Or, as said above, you can go 4 stops under ground and change to the other line and go several more stops all underground. That will be a little faster but you won't see much of Rome. It looks closer at Ostiense but in reality I think it isn't. You could change to a train there for San Peitro but I haven't tried it, and it is at least 20 minutes beyond Tiburtina.
