Hi I’m trying to book a high speed direct train from Venice to Florence Aug 14th, then Florence to Rome Aug 15th then Rome to naples Aug 17th and I’m not seeing anything available on any of the train sites until Aug 18th Does the high speed trains not operate during this week?

Even Italo is showing no trains available from Monday Aug 14 through Thursday, Aug 17. Scheduled maintenance perhaps?

I've been checking daily on both TrenItalia and Italo, and like you nothing. I'm hoping they get the Ferragosto schedule out soon

This is only vaguely related, but your post reminded me of the wonderful movie "Pranzo de Ferragosto." The English title is "Mid-August Lunch."
It's sweet and funny, and the scenes of totally empty Roman streets on Ferragosto are mind-blowing.

Trains run 365 days a year in Italy. Trenitalia's CEO would get fired in a sec if they didn't run trains during the week of the 15th. It would be like grounding all flights in the US during the xmas holydays.
I guess Trenitalia and Italotreno are playing some competition game. You can Check again in early July or subscribe to Italo's newsletter. I see no reason to waste time checking any day, you can enter a date before to see the schedules.
