trains Benelux running May 1 Holiday

We are using our railpass to go from Bruges to Haarlem to join our tour on May 1 -- which is apparently a holiday. Reservations aren't available, except on the Thalys trains (which we don't want...expensive and unnecessary). Any concerns about availabity of seating with the railpass since we can't reserve? We'd be taking an early train out of Bruges... Thanks-

May 1 is on Sunday. I don't know about Belgium, but in the Netherlands you won't notice any difference to any other Sunday. I wouldn't worry about seating, at least not in the Netherlands. April 30 is celebration of the queen's birthday though. Big party, busy trains, Amsterdam will be crowded and orange. First train leaving Amsterdam on Sunday morning may be busy as well, as some people will then be going home.

You can't reserve seats on Belgian (NMBS) and Dutch (NS) rail anyway, so don't worry about it. There'll be plenty of seats. BTW, a 3rd party rail pass is a complete waste of money for trains in Belgium and the Netherlands.
