While we're spending the majority of our 2-week February trip in Paris, we're flying in and out of Amsterdam, and hoping to visit Normandy, etc. Should we buy a Europass or purchase point-to-point tickets? Thanks for your help!

Unless you're travelling virtually every day on your vacation by train, a pass will be too expensive. Point to point tickets will be much cheaper. Check http://www.voyages-sncf.com (little union jack in lower left) for prices, schedules, and purchasing all that you'll need.
