Hello, I have a trip in May and have purchased train tickets for the first leg of our trip (Ams-Trier-Munich-Innsbruck-Salzburg). Which leaves us with the second part which needs some serious advice. This is the most challenging part of planning, I would really appreciate all the advice and help. Dates Depart Time 22 - 24 Bled (3 nights) 25 - 26 Plitvice (2 N) 27 - 30 Split (4 N) 31 - 01 Budapest (2 N) 1. Bled- Plitvice The bahn.de website says that the only train arrives at Plitvice at 03.10AM Daily. Is there any way to get there during the day? I read about taking the train to Zagreb and bus to Plitvice, but don't have access to detailed timetables, travel times and cost. 2. Plitvice- Split http://www.akz.hr says that there is a daily bus at 09:45AM that arrives Split at 16:00PM but does not state the price? 3. Split - Budapest
Bahn website shows a train departing at 08:25AM and arriving Budapest at 22:19PM. Is there a faster way of travelling from Split to Budapest? Thanks in advance! GT
According to the Bahn website, that night train and one other that arrives at about the same time in Plitvice from Split are the only trains through that station during 24 hours. The reason it arrives just after 3 AM is that it's a night train from Zagreb, leaving just before midnight, and Split, arriving around 8 AM. The AKZ website shows seven buses a day from Zagreb to Plitvice. Time about 2 hours; fare about $15.
Thanks for the advice. Is there a faster way from Split to Budapest? Preferably via Train or Bus. The travelling times seem quite sketchy, as I cannot find any online. Any help is appreciated!
