Traveling between Glasgow - Edinburgh on 3/11/17 and from Edinburgh - London on 3/14/17. Any advice on train travel would be appreciated. For Scotland is it OK to wait until day of travel or should I purchase prior to leaving US. I plan to purchase the second leg prior to leaving the US. What company should I purchase the tickets from.
It's usually significantly cheaper to purchases tickets in advance, but you should also be able to purchase the day of travel if you need to be flexible. We only took two day trips outside of London on our trip. We used the site below.
