Train travel to/from Germany & Switzerland

We are traveling to Germany in July and planning on going to the Interlachen area of Switzerland for about three days. We will be coming from the Black Forest area of Germany to Murren and leaving there to go to Munich. We are trying to figure out which rail pass or passes would be the best option. There will be two adults and one Youth (21 yrs).

Cheapest price in Euros for 3 adults for advance-sale, limited quantity tickets at http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en ; prices may not be available for your dates but perhaps at a slightly higher price. These tix go on sale 92 days in advance so buy as soon as they go on sale; there are penalties for changes. You gave no start city so I'm using Freiburg. You'll pay extra to get to Mürren. Freiburg - Interlaken: 87 Interlaken-Munich: 117

Doug, With so few trips, I'm not sure Railpasses will be the best option. P-P tickets will probably be the best way. Keep in mind that Railpasses DO NOT include the reservation fees that are compulsory on some trains (very likely some that you'll be travelling on), so you'd have to pay separately for those. Railpasses are not the great bargain they once were. Happy travels!
