I bought train tickets online from Amsterdam to London. We need to travel on one train from Amsterdam to Brussels, then take the Eurostar from Brussels to London. The tickets clearly state the Brussels to London leg, but the Amsterdam to Brussels leg is not clearly stated. However this was included on the email: 4 people with fare Excursion 3 Any Dutch Station. Does anyone know if this ticket is for the entire journey or not?
When I made the reservation online I asked for Amsterdam to London. The entire journey and transaction was presented as Amsterdam to London. The actual ticket has 2 lines. The top line says "Vertrek -> Aankomst". The second line says "Brussels -> London". Further down it says "Excursion: traief met Beperkingen; Elk station NL -Brussels V.V.". The email that was sent with the tickets stated the "4 people with fare Excursion 3 Any Dutch Station".
Your ride from Amsterdam to Brussels is probably included, but it won't be on a Thalys train. Thalys requires seat reservations so your tickets would have to be for a specific date and departure time. I expect your tickets will be for IC trains. No reservations are possible on those trains so you can jump on any train you wish for the Amsterdam-Brussels leg.
Thanks, I appreciate the help!
