What is the best way to learn how to use a train to leavve paris and go into italy. We would like to visit - Venice, milan, florence, assisi, and rome. primnarily using the train.
The Man in Seat 61 can help you. Go to his website www.seat61.com. He had a long post on Frommer's the other day about a new overnight train, the Thello, which goes from Paris to Venice, and a link to a video showing the experience. Looks great.
Norma,
Where can I find that post on Frommers with the link to the video by Man in seat 61? I haven't been able to find it, but then I find the Frommers website way too "busy" for my tastes. Thanks
Here you go, Nancy: www.youtube.com/watch?v=xfjiaO2lyOw
Nancy, the post is on the Europe board at Frommer's, under General & Multi-country. It is the 4th one down and has the tiitle, "Trip Report: Paris to Verona or Venice .... "
Thanks Maria, I appreciate the info.
Sorry Norma, don't know where I got Maria. Thanks again for the info.
Have a look on Hulu or Youtube for Rick Steves video. It shows just what you need.
