Is it gest to prebook (from US) train travel from Paris to Brussels and Brussels to Amsterdam, or should we wait until we get there? Seems like I read that these destinations are all served by hi-speed rail, therefore making reservations from US is best option. That is fine but I'd prefer to wait until I get there, if possible, to give me a bit more flexibility. I'd appreciate hearing pros & cons.
Thanks in advance.
Pros of prebooking: MUCH MUCH cheaper fares (if you do it far enough in advance). Cons of prebooking: you are locked in to a particular train. Pros of waiting until you are there: You have flexibility.
Cons of waiting until you are there: The train you want may be sold out. You will pay a LOT more. Your choice.
