Hello Everyone!
My wife and I are going (back) to Italy; this time we will be taking our-then fourteen-month-old daughter with us. Because she is an infant, will be required to purchase a seat for her, or can she ride for free?
Thanks,
Peter

Bambina is free but no seat. Children under 4 can ride for free but with no seat. However, trains in Italy don't fill up. You shouldn't have any difficulties unless you, mom and baby want to ride the train between the towns in the CT during the busy season. The towns are minutes apart by train but its standing room only during the busy season. But, people are gracious most everywhere and a mother with an infant always gets the special treatment. If you need the language from the Italian train site on this subject, I can provide it. Also, you might check into the family fares on www.trenitalia.com
Thanks, Larry. (That's what I figured, but I just wanted to make sure).
All the best,
Peter
