Hi Julie. For Rome to Florence and Florence to Venice, see the Italian train site trenitalia.com. You can easily purchase in advance and print tickets at home for a discount if ready to lock in date / time; or wait until you are in Italy and pay the 'base' price. Try the 'Le Frecce' option at top of web page. Enjoy your trip!

thanks so much and then when in Venice who should i book through to get to Salzburg and then Vienna> Also what if i skip Venice and go straight from Florence to Salzburg? would that still be the italian train? At first I was going to do the night train but thought i would miss some great sights so that is when i started considering stipping for a day in Venice and then going on to Salzburg at some point.
Any thoughts
