I want to ride the train from Marseille airport to Avignon.If I buy a Freedom flexible (2d class) ticket can I exchange it for a later train if my flights don't arrive on time? If yes, how do I change it? If I buy that ticket to use at Marseille Vitrolles station, if we change to Marseille St. Charles station to catch a TGV train, can we use the ticket we bought for the other station and pay the difference in cost? Is it cheaper to buy the ticket in the US from RailEurope website, rather than in France? Thanks for any advice--

While booking in advance on the tgv-europe site can get you a discount fare, those tickets are for a specific departure time and are non-exchangeable and non-refundable. If your plane is late and you miss your train, you will be out the price of the ticket. Buy your ticket when you arrive in Marseille for whatever route you please. With Rail Europe the fare is likely to be higher and you also will pay a fee to have your ticket shipped to you.
