My husband and I want to visit a friend in San Benedetto del Tronto. I have looked at the train sites but cannot seem able to find a train the leaves Venice between 8am-9am and arrive in San Benedetto del Tronto mid afternoon. Can anyone help? We want to go on July 6th. Thanks
Deborah
July 6th is too far ahead. New train timetables will go into effect in Europe on 10 June. Trenitalia is always the last national rail company to upload theirs. The new times are likely to be unchanged. Also, fares for regional trains only appear up to seven days in advance. Since July 6th is a Friday, I entered 18 May and found these times: 1. Leave Venezia S. Lucia at 06:52, connect in Bologna, and arrive in S. Benedetto Del Tronto at 12:43. 2. Leave Venezia S. Lucia at 09:27, connect in Bologna and Ancona, and arrive in S. Benedetto Del Tronto at 14:43. 3. Leave Venezis S. Lucia at 10:27, connect in Bologna, and arrive in S. Benedetto Del Tronto at 15:36. 4. Leave Venezia S. Lucia at 11:27, connect in Bologna, and arrive in S. Benedetto Del Tronto at 16:47.
Thanks for that. What does it mean when it says ' reservation not included' on some fares?
There is open seating on Regionale trains and no reservations are possible. If you buy a ticket from point A to point B, it will be good on any Regionale train on that route. Be sure to validate (time stamp) all Regionale train tickets in the yellow machines at the station. If you don't, the conductor will fine you on the spot.
