Train travel from Venice to Montreux

Our trip in Italy ends in Venice. We leave Venice for Montreux to begin our trip in Switzerland. We then plan to take the Golden Pass to Lucerne. I'm looking for the most direct quickest train from Venice to Montreux leaving Venice in the morning. Ultimately to save time a non stop "bullit" train would be best. Does such a train exist? Secondly, with very little train travel in Switzerland (Lausanne from Montreux and return and Zurich from Lucerne) how would it be best to purchase a ticket for the Golden Pass?

You will have at least one train change at Milan. If you take the 8:50 Eurostar Italian ( fast train) from Venice to Milan, you can catch the 12:25 IC train that goes from Milan to Montreux( and beyond to Geneva) with no further changes.

The connection suggested by Lola is a good one. Be aware that the answer to your first questions is: Does a non stop "bullit" train exist?
No. The first (fast) train makes 6 stops before Milano. There is a one hour connection at Milano. The second train (not-fast) makes 4 stops. The total journey from Venice to Montreux will take at least 6:34. You are unlikely to find a faster way.

Thanks Lola. The one stop in Milan is fine as is the duration. I just wanted to be sure there was no other option out there. I look forward to the trip between Milan and Montreux. It should be great.
