train travel from neuschwanstein to Venice

We are planning our first trip to Europe. We will be starting in Paris and planned to go down to Lucerne, Switzerland. From Lucerne we'd like to go to the Neuschwanstein Castle and Reutte, Austria. From there, we are planning on going to Venice. I'm having a hard time finding any resonable train routes (cost and time) that don't include backtracking to Munich. If we have to go up to Munich to get to Neuschwanstien from Lucerne we will, but would rather not for time saving purposes. And from Neuschwanstien we'd just like to experience something in Austria so we chose Reutte because it's close. From there, we need to get to Venise. Any suggestions on navigating this area? Would a night train from the Neuschwanstein area (or Munich if necessary) be a good option? What about getting from Lucerne to Neuschwanstein?

From Luzern, you can go around the west side of Bodensee to Lindau, then from Lindau to Kempten. At Kempten you can either go by train to Füssen via Buchloe, Kaufbeuren, or Bissenhofen, or to Reutte via Pfronten. That avoids Munich.

From Füssen, go to Pfronten or Reutte by bus (or stay in Reutte). From there you can go by train to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, then to Innsbruck via Mittenwald. You can catch the night train from Munich to Venice in Innsbruck.

If you want some maps of the train routes in that area (Lindau to Füssen/Reutte to Innsbruck), PM me (I'll need your email address because you can't send attachments from this site). You can probably book the night train from Innsbruck to Venice on the Austrian Rail website, www.oebb.at.
